Epic Universe, on the strength of Celestial Park. Islands of Adventure second on the best quick service at the resort. Universal Studios Florida third on snacks and themed food. Universal Studios Hollywood last, because the best eating there is outside the turnstiles.

Islands of Adventure gives the fullest day: the most rides, the least friction, and six single rider lines. Universal Studios Hollywood is the only one you genuinely finish. If this is your first Universal visit, take Epic Universe and accept the transfer.

Islands of Adventure, by a distance. Four coasters, a launch drop tower, three water rides that soak you, and the only 51-, 52- and 54-inch sticks in Orlando. Epic Universe second, Universal Studios Florida third, Universal Studios Hollywood fourth with one coaster.

Islands of Adventure, for Seuss Landing. Epic Universe second and better for a child between 40 and 47 inches. But if your youngest is under 40 inches and this is a one-shot family trip, Magic Kingdom is the better booking and it is not close.
Head to head
Epic Universe for a first visit and for the better single day. Islands of Adventure for coasters, for roster depth, and for the day that costs you no shuttle at either end.
Head to head
Flying somewhere specifically for Universal: Orlando, and give it three days. Already in Los Angeles, or you have one day and one park in you: Hollywood, and one day is genuinely enough.

1. Islands of Adventure. 2. Universal Epic Universe. 3. Universal Studios Florida. 4. Universal Studios Hollywood. No ties, no hedging.
Head to head
Islands of Adventure on a one-day ticket, for most groups. Universal Studios Florida if Diagon Alley is the point, if anyone in the party gets motion sick, or if your youngest child is under 40 inches.
Head to head
Young children, a first Orlando trip, or a full week: Walt Disney World. Thrill riders, teenagers, adults, a short trip, or a second Orlando visit: Universal Orlando. With seven or more days, do both.
4 contenders
One park, one day, no strong preferences: Islands of Adventure. First Universal trip with a day to spend: Epic Universe. Three days in Orlando: all three, in the order Epic Universe, Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Florida.
