Honeydukes is the sweet shop from the books rendered as a genuinely dense retail space - pink and lilac shelving to the ceiling, jars, barrels, wrapped confectionery in every direction, and a connected room containing Zonko's joke merchandise. It is a shop rather than a restaurant, and it is one of the three or four things in this park that guests queue to get inside.
The famous purchase is the Chocolate Frog, a large solid chocolate frog in an ornate box with a collectible wizard card inside. At around $17 it is expensive chocolate, and what you are actually buying is the box and the card, both of which are well made. The cauldron cakes, pumpkin pasties and fudge are the better food value.
The queue to enter is real in the middle of the day - Universal meters entry because the room is small - and it evaporates in the evening.

Our take: Overrated as chocolate and reasonable as a souvenir. You are paying seventeen dollars for a card and a box; buy it knowing that, and buy a cauldron cake if you want dessert.
